BSI logoOur reputation for quality stems from the calibre and training of our people. And we have company-wide systems in place to guide and support them.

There are 3 main elements:

  • A company management system with documented operational procedures and service department requirements
  • BSI Registration to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 covering mechanical and electrical (M&E) design, installation, inspection testing and commissioning, planning, procurement, project management, provision of plant and equipment and training.
  • A quality manual describing the links between the two.

This information is available to employees via the company Intranet as well as on paper within the branch.

The company management system, for the rail business, is in addition supported by an industry specific process management system, termed a Contractor Assurance Case. This is a prerequisite for working in a railway environment and is further supported by systems for control of competence, working hours monitoring and a strict policy on the use/abuse of drugs and alcohol.

Our quality management systems are subject to internal audit and review, and to continuous assessment by BSI, Network Rail, Link up (Registration No. 16090) and all railway clients.
