The brief
The Driving Standards Agency required standardised delivery of Mechanical and Electrical PPM services to their 400 premises nationwide, covering five separate regions, and stretching from Wick in Scotland to Penzance in Cornwall. One of the key components for the client was the requirement to complete an asset re-appraisal at every site. The Driving Standards Agency was concerned that they were not in possession of all the relevant information regarding the assets within the sites and needed a professional opinion on this. Finally the DSA wanted a national service provider who would be able to deliver service at a local level.
The solution
In order to deliver a tailored service solution Bailey Maintenance aligned our regional offices with the respective regions of The Driving Standards Agency. This has enabled us to deliver a complex national contract whilst also retaining local and regional support to all DSA premises. To further ensure a standardised national service we have allocated a Key Account Manager to provide support to regional Bailey Maintenance Contract Managers and also a national point of contact for The Driving Standards Agency. Within the first 6 months of the contract we attended all DSA premises to assess the site assets, compiling a register and forward plan.
The result
"In my experience, with the DSA and previously with the Land Registry, the pro-active Bailey Maintenance approach to mobilisation is second to none and provides a substantial platform for measurable service delivery." Rod Dawes, Pick Everard.
The Asset Regeneration Project has enabled us to provide uniform asset information to the Driving Standards Agency and the Bailey Maintenance Engineers that attend their sites. The project has also allowed us to identify "unknown" assets at DSA Sites, many which require statutory inspections. Bailey Maintenance can assure our client that all sites are in compliance with relevant legislation and that servicing responsibilities are being met.
