Managing our impacts

NG Bailey ensures that environmental issues are fully integrated and managed within our business. 

The company operates an integrated Environmental Management System which is registered to ISO14001:2004.   In addition the company has an ambitious programme entitled 'Target 2012' which sets out four major sustainability challenges for us to achieve by the end of next year.

We benchmark and measure our environmental performance regularly.  Each year we participate in the BiTC Environment Index.  In 2010 NG Bailey achieved a Bronze rating scoring highly across most areas of the assessment and acheived greatly improved scores in Waste and Water data reporting and reduction after having established data collection methods and improvement programmes.
